Welcome to outabout.id!
You are about to experience language learning completely differently. Forget traditional classrooms, rigid grammar drills, boring textbooks, and intimidating teachers lecturing from the front of the room.
Our method—proven successfully in London with thousands of international students—is built on a simple truth: you learn a language by using it socially and naturally.
How It Works
- 80% Speaking in Social Spaces: Gather in groups of up to 12 people in vibrant local spots—cozy cafes, neighborhood restaurants, and hotel lounges right in your area.
- Book Near Home: Use our interactive map to find sessions close to where you live, reducing travel time and making language practice a seamless part of your week.
- Exclusive Venue Perks: Many of our partner venues offer special discounts on food and beverages for our participants.
- Zero Judgment, Pure Fun: Our sessions are driven by lively conversation, friendly hosts called “Animators,” and a relaxed atmosphere designed to strip away the fear of making mistakes.
Level Up: The “Out & About” Activity
After the main 90-minute session wraps up, you have access to an optional but vital extension: the “Out & About” activity.
This is where classroom confidence turns into real-world capability. Step away from the table and complete practical, real-life tasks on your own or with a peer assistant, such as:
- Calling or hailing a taxi and managing the route in English.
- Approaching a hotel concierge to ask for local tourist recommendations.
- Chatting with international tourists visiting your area.
- Messaging a contact via WhatsApp to coordinate a task entirely in English.
- Getting hands-on support from our field assistants when you need an extra confidence boost.
